For sale is my homemade very solid, very heavy trailer hitch motorcycle carrier.
It has worked well for several bikes in the past. The biggest and heaviest I hauled around was my Honda VT 1100 (556 lbs / 252 kg, 93.7″ / 238 cm long).
It comes with an aluminum ramp that can be attached on the right or on the left side. (not in the pictures)
There are 8 eyes bolts to tie down your bike or whatever cargo you might have.
The frame is constructed by heavy gauge 2″ x 2″ steel tube, the surface consists of a thick piece of aluminum.
It also has two brackets at the ends to be attached to the vehicle to minimize movement of the carrier. (Those brackets are bolted on and thereby can easily be removed if you don’t want to use them.
The overall dimensions (including the end brackets) are 30 1’2″ x 93″, the platform itself is 21″ x 93″.
Again, this is a very solid, very heavy piece of hardware and requires a serious vehicle in order to prevent the front wheels from getting airborn.
Asking $215.00 OBO.
Thanks for looking!
PS: The tail lights in the pictures have been removed and are not part of the deal.
